Women’s Rights Group Calls Iranian FA Threat To Security Of Female Fans In Iran, Urges FIFA To Ban The Country From Upcoming Games
The situation of women in Iran is just becoming worse every day. The world is witnessing an Anti-Hijab protest by Iranian women against the death of a 22-year-old girl, Mahsa Amini who was allegedly killed by the morality police of the country. Iran fails to provide women the basic human rights and the death of Mahsa, ignited the suppressed anger of the women. Now, through a letter from the Women’s Rights Group, we also come across that harsh truth about the female fans of sports who are not even safe in the country. This came to light when the Group sent a letter to FIFA requesting them to exclude Iran from the games that are going to happen in November.
In the letter sent by the Women’s Rights Group to FIFA, they expressed their deep concerns and also highlighted the treatment given to the female fans of football by the Iranian Football Federation (FA). In fact, the Women’s Right Group also called the Iranian FA a danger to women football fans.

Showing concerns about the same, the Women’s Group believes that FIFA should not give Iran the international ground for the sport when the fans of the sport would not be safe. They also cited Articles 3 and 4 of the FIFA laws, and based on it, asked the federation to eliminate Iran from the upcoming games, as per the news.
