You know, women have to face all kinds of difficulties in their lives and carrying people’s expectations on your back is an impossible task that only we can accomplish. But whenever I think that I can’t achieve my dreams, I just look around and I get inspired by many incredible women who have achieved the unachievable. Well, speaking of incredible women, two women officers got promoted as station officers by the Mumbai Fire Brigade for the first time ever. Isn’t that amazing?

The two female officers – Shubhangi Bhor and Sunita Khor made us proud as they got promoted to the rank of SO, also known as Station Officer for the first time in the history of the Mumbai Fire Brigade.  They are the first commanding officers of the fire stations they are posted in where they will be in charge of responding to fire emergency calls. They both joined the Mumbai Fire Brigade as Assistant Station Officers in the year 2012.
