Women Of Reddit Share Their Experiences Dealing With Menopause, And There’s So Much To Learn

When I think that I finally understood everything about my body, it does something new out of nowhere which makes me clueless all over again. I was in 9th grade when I first got my periods and literally didn’t know anything about it. It took me a lot of time to understand the whole concept of menstruation, cramps, and the devil didi PMS. I was like, “Yes, I finally have all the things under my control,” but I was wrong. I realised that after a certain age, women experience something called menopause *screams internally*.

Study Reveals Women Are Using Cannabis To Relieve Menopause Pain
By the literal definition, menopause is the time that marks the end of your menstrual cycles. You may expect, “Okay, this is the end of periods.” But I wish it was that simple, my friend. Apparently, menopause comes with a lot of complications and symptoms. So, I started my research on Google and like always it was really really helpful. Thank goodness, the Reddit women came into my life like a knight in shining armour when a user named u/Truck-Narrow asked them, “For those of you who have been through menopause, what age did it start at? What signs did you notice first?”

I read few of them and it kind of made me a little scared and a little relieved but it did answer my questions, to be honest.

Apart from from physical changes, women also have to deal with the emotional and mental changes during menopause, the symptoms include irritability, low self-confidence, anxiety, difficulty in concentrating, mood swings, lack of ability to cope with work, etc. And all these symptoms are due to the fact that there are constant changes in hormone levels in a woman’s body.

I think, a lot of women don’t have proper knowledge about menopause because the topic of menopause is rarely discussed in our society. And I hope it will change from now on.
