Study Shows That Women Are Consistently More Unhappy Than Men Everywhere. Like We Didn’t Know That Already!

As someone who has been living in this world for a couple of decades, I can say that I’m not consistently happy about my life. And I’m sure that a lot of women will agree with me because living in a world where you are not considered equal but still expected to do more things is quite sad and now we have a study to prove it. Recently, a study revealed that women are consistently more unhappy than men around the globe. I can tell this without studying anything, to be honest!

There’s a phenomenon known as the ‘female happiness paradox’ and it has confused many researchers that whether women are happier than men or not. However, a study was done by the National Bureau of Economic Research recently and it proves that women are more unhappy than men around the world and it has been consistent for many years. David Blanchflower and Alex Bryson who are labour economists conducted the study in which they analysed global data. The result was surprising but not so shocking as it showed that “women are always and everywhere more unhappy than men.”

Alex Bryson, a professor of quantitative social science at University College London said, “if you look at unhappiness metrics—sadness, anxiety, depression, loneliness—women are less happy than men.” He added that the situation is constant and has been this way for a long time

We completely agree with this study as there is no reason for women to be happy. Men get paid more than women, crimes against women are increasing, women don’t get equal opportunities, women’s mental health is declining, and there are so many reasons for it.
