Woman Finds Someone’s Baby Photos In An Old Cookbook. She Put It Up On Facebook And Managed To Return It To The family!
Everything in life that has a shelf life, except, thankfully, memories. They manage to last a lifetime. Valuable moments that help us look back at time with fondness, and even give us a reason to smile thinking or looking at them long after they’ve happened, memories transport you back to a time and it’s truly wonderful. And the best way I know how to preserve them, is often through a picture.
Guess, that’s why it is said that pictures are worth a thousand words. And keeping that logic in mind, this woman from Kentucky helped a person out when she returned baby pictures of a stranger back to him, after finding them in a thrift-store book.
Robyn Filley, a woman from Kentucky was strolling around in a thrift store with her husband when she picked up a cookbook that was on sale. It was only later when the couple came back home and Robyn went through the book, that she found some old baby photographs of someone. Showing these pictures to the store, she got permission from them to keep them, and decided to find the person whose pictures these were.

Resorting to social media, Robyn went on Facebook in her search of finding the family that had lost these precious baby pictures. She said, “I was like I want to post them online and try to find the family, because pictures are just everything to people. And the little girl looked so loved, so I was like I have to find the family.”
Posting the pictures with a caption that asked for help in identifying the family, Robyn kept trying to make efforts into locating the family, when after almost 2 days she received a message from a Haley London. The 20-year-old girl who had reached out to Robyn turned out to be the very girl in the photographs! And she recognised this after finding the writing behind a picture a tad familiar.
Haley shared, “I immediately called my nana and I was like, ‘Did you donate a cookbook?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah, I did, why?’ And I was like, ‘I’m pretty sure you left some of our pictures in there and someone found them.’ She just started laughing, she was like, ‘There’s no way.’ And I was like, ‘No, it really did happen,'”
Finally the two women met for the exchange, and Robyn was finally able to find the person whom these priceless pictures really belonged to. Haley said, “She said as soon as she found them she immediately knew that she wanted to find who they belonged to, and I just thought that was so thoughtful and generous to take the time to put a picture on Facebook and see what’s gonna happen.”
