Among those was the record-setter mountaineer, Savita Kanswal. India woke up to very unfortunate news of Savita Kanswal’s death on Thursday morning. Savita died in an avalanche that hit the Draupadi Danda-II mountain peak in Uttarkashi, in Uttarakhand.
