Who Is Arpita Mukherjee, The Actress Arrested In SSC Scam With INR 22 Crores In Her House?
For those unversed, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently working on the School Service Commission (SSC) scam and is investigating every new development that is found in the case. And one of the developments had led them directly to actress Arpita Mukherjee. When the ED raided her house, they found Rs. 21.2 crores in cash, gold jewellery worth Rs. 79 lakh, and Rs. 54-lakh forex. Not just that, they even found 22 different mobiles from her house. After this, the actress who was close to the West Bengal Minister Partha Chatterjee was arrested. In fact, ED had previously also arrested Partha Chatterjee in the alleged teacher recruitment scam.
So, who is Arpita Mukherjee?
Arpita Mukherjee was born in a middle-class family in Belghoria in the northern suburbs of the city. After her father died, she got married to a businessman from Jhargram but not much is known about it – especially ever since she returned to Kolkata.

Arpita Mujherjee’s career
As per reports, Arpita Mukherjee started her career in modelling back in 2004 and over the years she has been growing well in that field along with getting a few offers for acting in movies – like Bande Utkala Janani, Prem Rogi, Kemiti A Bandhanam, Mu Kana Ete Kharap, Raju Awara, and more. With the money she has made, the actress has opened three nail salons in Patuli, on Lake View Road and in Baranagar.

For the most part, Arpita Mukherjee juggled between Odia and Bengali cinema, but after 2012, she permanently shifted to Tollywood as the offers from Ollywood were sparse. On Instagram, the actress has over 200 Instagram reels and most of which have had more than 10,000 plus viewership.
In a recent picture that has gone viral, the model can be seen posing with West Bengal Minister Partha Chatterjee. In the picture, the two are dressed in colour-coordinated outfits as they pose for the picture at an event.
