Video Shows Bihar Man Stab Girl 8 Times In 13 Seconds Because She Turned Him Down. What’s With The Entitlement?

I remember when I was very young, I was passing by the railway station and I saw a man publicly abusing a woman by constantly slapping her. People stared as they passed by but no one intervened. And I was one of them. It’s not like I didn’t care, I guess I was too young to have the guts to do anything about the situation. I still think about that every once in a while and give myself a hard time for not doing anything about this. I wouldn’t tolerate this as an adult though. However, I was reminded of this because of this viral video of a man in Bihar stabbing a woman 8 times for opposing molestation. Society appals me, to say the least.

A video has been going viral of CCTV footage of a man stabbing a woman 8 TIMES IN 13 SECONDS in broad daylight, in public. This incident reportedly took place on Monday in the Gopalganj district of Bihar. The video was shared on Twitter by the Social Justice Army of India (SJAI) commenting upon how daughters in India are not safe anymore. Women in India have never been safe but okay. 

According to reports, the girl was returning from school where she encountered the boy and his gang who were waiting for her. The Bihar boy named Gulshan had accosted the girl a day prior. However, when she resisted his approach, he let her go but kept waiting for her. When he saw her, he hit and stabbed her. His friend was seen holding him back and physically restraining him in the video. The girl was urgently rushed to the Sardar Hospital in Gopalganj, Bihar. She was then referred to Patna Medical College.

I have spoken about this before but seriously, the sense of entitlement that men like these possess always shocks me. I cannot imagine how one can feel offended over someone respectfully turning them down. The stabbing, molestation, acid attacks that women endure just because they said no is horrifying. And the fact that there are men with this mentality still roaming free scares and disgusts me.
