Turkmenistan Bans Beauty Services For Women To Gatekeep Traditional Values

I don’t understand why everyone is so obsessed with messing with the rights of women? I’m waiting for the day when people will finally realise that women are human beings who want to live their life without any restrictions but seems like it’s not going to happen anytime soon which is so disappointing. And in the middle of all the chaos, Turkmenistan introduced a ban on many beauty services and fashion accessories for women in order to gatekeep their traditional values. This is so unnecessary, to be honest!

Turkmenistan has introduced a new law that prohibits women from using beauty services and some modern fashion accessories, including dying/bleaching their hairs, using artificial and manicured nails, and fake eyelashes to mitigate new trends. Also, Turkmen women can’t undergo cosmetic surgeries such as eyebrow microblading, lip fillers, botox, and breast enhancement which is quite popular in the nation. With each passing day, the world is getting weirder and how.

According to the reports, the authorities introduced these strict rules in April to gatekeep their traditional values. Many women have lost their jobs due to their breast implants and lip fillers and they also had to pay heavy fines, as per reports. The police just take pictures of these women to make a report and tell them to pay the penalty. This literally makes zero sense, not gonna lie.

Earlier, Turkmenistan had also banned women from sitting in the front seat of taxis. Male drivers are not allowed to offer rides to women who are not family members, make it make sense, please.
