A Group Of Women In Tripura Tie Up And Thrash A 46 Year Old Rape Accused To Death.

I personally am of the opinion that no punishment is too severe for a rapist. If they are inhumane enough to do something so disgusting to a fellow human being, I believe that seeing them through the lenses of empathy is pointless. Clearly, a group of women in Tripura have similar opinions as they tied up a 46-year-old rape accused and lynched him.

Under Gandacherra police station, a lynching allegedly happened when a group of women tied up a 46-year-old rape accused and beat him to death. The accused had spent 8 years in prison due to his connection with a murder case.

The accused allegedly raped a five-year-old girl in the jungle when the victim had attended a religious event with her mother on Tuesday. According to sources, the rape accused then abandoned the little girl in the jungle. The local residents then rescued the girl after her cries were heard and the girl was taken to the hospital.

The locals claimed that the girl was last seen with the accused and blamed him for what happened. Furthermore, the locals even disrupted the traffic at  Gandacherra-Amarpur highway, pushing that the accused be arrested.

In a viral video, a group of women could be seen thrashing the accused as he is tied to a tree to a point that he lost consciousness. The man was rescued from the women and taken to a hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries and died. Police says that they are investigating both incidences.

While I agree that rapists deserve no mercy, I also believe that taking the law into your own hands is not advisable. In this case, while their anger is valid, killing the accused will only make it harder for the police to investigate what happened to that little girl.
