This Woman Gave Birth To A Baby That Weighed 5 Kgs Without Any Pain Killers

A lot of women are pressured into having children immediately after they get married. And while most of them give in to stop their relatives’ taunts, it’s important to remember that having children is more of a personal choice than a compulsion. Having said that, I’ve known for a while that I want kids. Two, to be specific. I even have their names picked out. However, today I read a story about a woman and her pregnancy that has made me question my life’s choices. This woman gave birth to a baby that weighed 5 kgs. The scariest thing? She did it without any painkillers.

This woman, Chasity Ward, shared on a TikTok video how it “hurt like hell” when she gave birth to her 5kg baby. She also shared pictures of her daughter when she was born. In the video, she said that she couldn’t take an epidural which is a pain relief because she was allergic and hence had to withstand unbearable pain.

Chasity said, “Y’all want to see a big baby? Here’s a big a** baby I pushed out no epidural all because I’m allergic and it hurt like hell.” In the comments section, after a few netizens praised her, she said that she “screamed her lungs out” when she was giving birth to her daughter. She captioned the video and the pictures, “These are all taken when we were in the hospital. She was way bigger than they thought and I’m tiny.”

In a follow up video Chasity explained that the doctors had initially told her that her baby would be tiny. She was asked to be on bed rest and get regular scans done. This is an impressive, albeit terrifying feat. It’s easier to scale a mountain than it is to do what she did. More power to her!
