One of my biggest flaws is my indecisiveness. I take hours to get ready because I can’t decide on an outfit, I watch FRIENDS over and over again because I can’t settle on a new show and I prefer going to the same restaurant because going through Zomato to pick a new one is one of my biggest pet peeves. All my friends know how hard it is for me. And so, mostly for their peace of mind, they don’t ask me to pick a place. I am not even allowed to place an order because I take so long. It’s a maddening experience. I’ve often said that I need an AI bot to make all my decisions for me. Wouldn’t that be so convenient?
As it turns out though, I am not the only one struggling with acute indecisiveness. It’s quite a common problem and people are finding some extremely creative ways to deal with it. For instance, Adam Badecha created an app for his girlfriend, Christine Sun, that allows her to pick a restaurant or pub in seconds. Adam is a software engineer and what better way of putting his coding skills to good use than to help his girlfriend make good and timely decisions? It’s so romantic.

This app that Adam created was his anniversary present to Christine. Reportedly, she loved it and it helped her pick a restaurant in under 10 seconds. Christine used it to pick a place for their anniversary dinner. This app needs to be rolled out to the public. Adam would become the next billionaire tech genius and people like me wouldn’t get so overwhelmed daily. It’s a win-win.
Speaking of how he designed it, Adam said that he used Yelp API (Application Programming Interface) to grasp the 50 best eaters in the region based on the type of cuisine. If his girlfriend wants to have Italian, this app will pick out a restaurant for her in mere seconds. It’s such a perfect gift.
