This Girl From UK Had Seizures And Lost Control Of Her Limbs After Her Drink Was Spiked At A Club

As a 25-year-old working professional, I take my Saturday night plans very seriously. I need one night of a drink or two, dancing and letting my hair down. It’s sort of my stress buster. It’s probably not the healthiest way but hey, it works wonders. I do have a few ground rules though that I follow no matter how inebriated I am. The rule that tops that list is that I never ever accept a drink that hasn’t been made in front of me. No matter how cute the guy offering me a drink is, I never accept a drink from a stranger. And I never leave my drink unattended. You could say that I am very anal about this and rightly so. I have heard some horror stories about people spiking drinks with all sorts of dangerous drugs. Just the thought of it gives me the chills.

Most recently, 18-year-old Millie Taplin from the UK was rushed to the hospital after she drank a spiked drink. It left her looking possessed, gave her seizures and she lost control of her limbs. Though cured now, Millie was trapped in this nightmare for nearly four hours. Her mother, Claire, released a horrifying video of Millie experiencing convulsions to warn young girls against taking drinks from strangers.

This was the first time Millie had gone clubbing since turning 18. This momentous night soon turned hellish when she accepted a drink from a stranger at the Moo Moo nightclub in Southend, Essex. He offered her vodka lemonade and asked her to try it. Millie only took a few sips because the drink was too strong. Those few sips were enough to make her seriously ill. She ran outside to throw up and soon she could not walk or control her arms. Her friends ran to help her. They called Millie’s older sister who rushed her to the hospital. Thankfully, there were no lasting damages and Millie was discharged on Sunday morning. The doctors believe that she was given two drugs. One to paralyse and one to knock her out.

Millie told The Mirror, “I knew everything going on. I could reply to people in my head but I couldn’t get it out. It was really scary. In my head, I was there but in my body, I wasn’t. I’ve never felt like that. I was in such a state when I arrived. I was so scared. I don’t ever want to go through that again. It was horrible.”

Soon Millie’s mother arrived at the hospital. She told reporters that Millie, “was aware of what was happening but couldn’t speak.” She also said, “It was horrendous, she looked possessed.”

This is so horrifying. Hopefully, girls will learn from Millie’s ordeal and never accept a drink from a stranger.
