This Aww-dorable Elderly Couple Is Taking Over Instagram And It’s Too Cute!
We’ve all heard the phrase “age is just a number”. It’s one of the biggest cliches actually. But does that make it any less true? People have attached an unnecessary stigma around ageing. Being in your 70s or 80s doesn’t mean you’ve to sit in a smell chair and yell things at the TV. There’s so much more to do. In fact, here’s an unpopular opinion, I am looking forward to being old and retired. Hopefully, one of these days, I’ll find someone with whom I want to grow old. But until then, I am just going to fangirl over this adorable elderly couple who gave me the idea of what a person’s sunset years are supposed to look like. They are breaking social media with their reels. I guess it’s never too late to become an influencer.
Mr and Mrs Verma are an elderly couple and we are talking two 76-year-olds that are absolutely nailing it. Their social media game is stronger than most of ours. From smooth transitions to adorable pranking videos, their content is wholesome, raw and entertaining. If you thought you’re grandparents were cool because they know how to send emojis on Whatsapp, think about how Mr and Mrs Verma are making reels like a couple of pros. They are not only raising the bar on how our social media should look but also on how our relationships should look.

As adorable as Mr Verma and the elderly couple is, I am in awe of Mrs Verma. She reminds me of my grandmother but well, with a more open mindset. One of her most watched reels is the shoe change challenge. In it, she is seen in a simple white kurta and black palazzos with flip-flops. She then is seen throwing her black stiletto up in the air and suddenly a, very very smooth, transition occurs and Mrs Verma is wearing an oversized white shirt with a black skirt looking absolutely gorgeous. When I watched this for the first time, I had to pause just to pick up my jaw off the floor.
When I picture me and my husband as old and wrinkly people in our 70s or 80s, this is how I picture us. Enjoying ourselves to the fullest and definitely not letting our age become a barrier. Mr and Mrs Verma are a sensation. They’ve called me single in seven different languages but still, I can’t get over their cuteness!
