This 11-Year-Old Girl From Gujarat Accidentally Strangled Herself While Filming A Dance Video
This pandemic has forced us to introspect and completely rethink our life’s decisions. I mean, there is nothing else to do. My weekends are spent shuffling between my couch and my bed, I barely get out of my pyjamas all week and Instagram’s reels explore page is my new best friend. Everyone I talk to is starved for entertainment and hence, are taking up various hobbies. However, sometimes these hobbies can turn into a hellish nightmare. As it happened with this 11-year-old girl from Gujarat who accidentally strangled herself with a dupatta while filming a dance video. A tragic catastrophe.
This shocking incident took place on Saturday evening in the Jadakhadi locality of the Mahidarpura area in Surat. The girl was found hanging from her window grill. Reportedly, the girl was all alone in the house, filming a dance video, when the accident took place.
The victim’s mother had gone out to finish some work while her father worked as a security guard. Her younger brother was playing in the house. When her father returned home from work, he found his daughter’s unresponsive body. She was immediately rushed to SMIMER Hospital but the doctor’s announced her dead on arrival.

As is the protocol, the hospital informed the police. They’ve declared her death accidental. A police officer said, “Prima facie, it seems that the girl was strangled because of the cloth she had tied on the grill while dancing. Her parents told us that she used to like dancing and would record her dance videos.” The police also found numerous dance videos of the girl on her father’s phone.
Who knew shooting a simple dance video could be fatal? This girl’s accidental death is a warning to us all that we need to be very, very careful.
