You know, after all this time, you’d think that women are used to men being huge perverts. Online and in the offline world. However, every time I gather enough courage to open the ‘request’ section on my Instagram, it makes my blood boil and my stomach churn. Strange men passing unsolicited comments, saving my photos, calling me ‘dear’ and asking me to be their ‘frand’. It all just gives me a serious case of the heebie-jeebies. I am sure all women can relate to this. The only thing that makes all this worse is thinking about all those women celebrities who get rape threats and unwarranted dick pics on social media on a daily basis. Just recently, television actress, Soundarya, took to Instagram to call out a man who sent her obscene and perverted messages. We applaud her for speaking up. It can’t have been an easy thing to do.
Television actress and singer, Soundarya, exposed a college professor from Madurai who sent her messages on Instagram asking her to sleep with him. She posted screenshots of the chat on her Instagram stories and said that she will track him down and ensure his girl students are safe around him. Soundarya also thanked Instagram for their new feature wherein she can not only block this man’s current account but also the accounts he makes in the future. Who would expect a college professor to be this perverted?
Soundarya wrote, “And that’s the way a professor talks to a woman. Damn shame! His profile says he is a professor in Madurai. I hope the girls in his college stay safe around him. ”

Whoever this man is, needs to be arrested and banned from using social media ever again. Soundarya, who is on the warpath now, said she has blurred out his name from the screenshots as she wants to track him down and file a complaint against him in the proper way rather than publicly humiliating him. She plans to alert the college authorities, where he works, about the shady actions of one of their professors. Just thinking about how must be behaving with his female students makes me shudder.
This has happened to countless women celebrities and until we don’t have extremely stringent anti-cyberbullying laws, these perverse men will not give it a rest. We hope that Soundarya is successful in getting this man to pay for his disgusting actions.
