University Of Texas Releases New Academic Course On Taylor Swift. Here Are Other 5 Celebs Who Have Courses As Well.

Imagine being so famous that universities have rolled out courses in your name! I am talking about Taylor Swift who has gotten an educational course dedicated to her music which will be taught to students at the University Of Texas. The class will be called The Taylor Swift Songbook and will be taught in the 2022 fall semester to undergraduates.

As per reports, students will have to study Taylor Swift’s songs alongside Shakespeare, John Keats, and Robert Frost. In this course, the students will be asked to analyse common problems that have been prevailing throughout centuries. This isn’t the first time a course has been dedicated to Swift. New York University’s Clive Davis Institute has also introduced a course in her name. Also, the Love Story hitmaker isn’t the only artist who has courses dedicated to her. Here are other Hollywood celebrities who have courses dedicated to them.

Harry Styles

Harry Styles and the Cult of Celebrity: Identity, the Internet and European Pop Culture, the course which is dedicated to Harry Styles was announced by Texas State University in July 2022. Students will learn about how Harry has impacted society at large.

Miley Cyrus

A liberal arts college located in Saratoga Springs, New York has released a course dedicated to Miley Cyrus. The course is called The Sociology of Miley Cyrus: Race, Class, Gender and Media. The students who take up this course will see society from Miley’s perspective and take a look at identity, media, entertainment, and fame through her lens.

Lady Gaga

The University of South Carolina, in 2010, released a course on Lady Gaga called Lady Gaga And The Sociology Of The Fame. The students would have to see her as a social event. They also studied Lady Gaga’s music and fashion.
