Taliban Prohibits Afghan Women From Boarding Flights Without Male Relatives. Make It Make Sense!

There are a lot of people in this world who think misogyny does not exist anymore and it makes me laugh because people are clearly talking about some other universe. In reality, we face a lot of sexism and a recent example is a strange rule imposed by the Taliban on women of Afghanistan. Recently, they prohibited Afghani women from boarding flights if they are not with male relatives. Erm, make it make sense, please!
On Sunday, the Taliban ordered airlines to stop Aghani women from boarding domestic or international flights if they are not accompanied by any male relatives, the misogyny is unbearable, to be honest. However, they allowed women to travel who had already booked flight tickets on Sunday and Monday. According to the reports, they stopped some women at the Kabul airport and didn’t allow them to board the flight on Saturday.

Earlier, a spokesperson of the Taliban administration had mentioned that women who are travelling abroad to study should be accompanied by a male chaperone. However, it’s not clear if the restriction allows any exemptions for women with no male relatives, foreigners, women with dual citizenship. This is quite confusing.
Surprisingly, this news came after the Taliban decided to shut all the girls’ secondary schools in the nation. It is true that some things and some people never change, right?

We don’t know if we should laugh or worry about this rule because it does not make sense at all and they are clearly trying to take away Afghani women’s basic rights and freedom in the name of culture.
