Study Says Women Are Better At Finding And Remembering Words Compared To Men. Now, That’s Big Brain Energy!

Okay, here’s a simple question, what will happen if you can know or can remember a lot of words? The answer is that you can probably communicate in a better way, right? But some clueless people still blame women for not expressing themselves properly even though they are better at communicating. And if you don’t want to believe us, then here’s the proof. The findings of this new research revealed that women are better than men at finding and remembering words. Now, that’s some big brain energy!

According to the researchers of a large study, women are better than men at finding and remembering words and this advantage is consistent across time and life span even though it is relatively small. Marco Hirnstein, who is a professor at The University of Bergen, Norway conducted a so-called ‘meta-analysis’ along with her colleagues.

In the meta-analysis, they analyzed the combined data of all master theses, PhD theses, and studies published in scientific journals they were able to find. It encompassed over 500 measures from more than 350,000 participants. After conducting the analysis, the researchers found that women are indeed better than men at finding and remembering words. And the advantage is small but it is consistent across the last five decades and across an individual’s lifespan.

Furthermore, the researchers of the study noted that most intellectual skills show no or negligible differences in average performance between men and women. But women excel in some tasks on average.
