Student Of Chandigarh University Arrested For Allegedly Leaking Videos Of 60 Hostel Girls
On Saturday night, a protest broke out at Chandigarh University in Punjab’s Mohali after a student allegedly leaked private videos of 60 hostel girls. In a shocking incident, the female student reportedly made MMS of 60 girls in her hostel and send those to her boyfriend who shared the videos on social media. Police have arrested the accused student after registering an FIR against her.
A first-year MBA student allegedly leaked the video of around 60 girls. After the videos of 60 students taking baths in the hostel were leaked online, a protest broke out at the Chandigarh University campus. Police reached the spot and arrested the student who recorded those videos. According to the reports, the girl sent the videos to a man in Shimla, who shared all the 60 videos on social media. A case has been registered against the accused student under Sections 354 c of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Information Technology (IT) Act at the Gharuan Police Post.

Harjot Singh Bains – Punjab Education Minister urged the protesting students to remain calm and mentioned that the culprits would not be spared. He added that it is a sensitive matter and relates to the dignity of our daughters and sisters. “I humbly request all the students of Chandigarh University to remain calm, no one guilty will be spared. It’s a very sensitive matter & relates to the dignity of our sisters & daughters. We all including media should be very very cautious, it is also a test of ours now as a society,” the tweet read.
