Cricketer Sneha Deepthi Plans On Becoming The First Player To Make A Comeback On The Field After Pregnancy. You Go, Mama!

It is very commonly seen that after getting pregnant or being married, women have a hard time excelling in their respective fields. Especially, if it is a job that requires a person to be physically fit, there is a mindset that women might no longer be able to manage after going through various bodily changes after pregnancy. However, Indian cricketer Sneha Deepthi has decided to break the stereotypes and aims to be the first cricketer to make a comeback on the playing field after pregnancy.

In a recent interview,  Sneha Deepthi talked about her plans to start her career after taking a break from cricket. Sneha Deepthi hails from Andhra Pradesh and was also the youngest player on the T20 team. She started her career in 2013, the same year Smriti Mandhana had too. Sneha Deepthi was dropped from the team after one match, and then there was a long break in her life. During this time, Sneha went through a lot of changes in her life. She got married and also gave birth to her little daughter, Kriva. Sneha has already taken her first step to making her comeback as she has returned to the domestic field. In a recent interview with The New Indian Express, Sneha said that her husband also motivated her to go back to playing cricket. Talking about the changes after pregnancy, Sneha said that she had gained a lot of weight and was not at all motivated to play cricket but then when she saw her old batting videos and the wish to make a comeback sparked, as per the report. The Andhra Cricket Association helped Sneha a lot to make her comeback easier. However, Sneha  Deepthi added that it was initially difficult for her to play as it became physically exhausting, and she went through a lot of pain. But then her child Kriva became her biggest motivation to endure every pain and successfully get through it, added Sneha. Going by the report, Sneha strongly believes that cricket associations should make efforts to encourage women to continue playing even after pregnancy.
