Meet Kiara, A Six-Year-Old Indian-American Girl Who Set The Record For Being The Youngest Speaker At World Expo

I remain in awe of kids who learn new things at a young age, of course voluntarily and not with pressure from their parents. These kids also serve as an inspiration and motivation to your children and even grown-ups! Recently, one such kid has set a record and my heart fills with pride on her achievement because she was half Indian. I am talking about the six-year-old Kiara Kaur, who has been the youngest speaker at the World Expo and has set the record for the same. This achievement was recorded by the World Book Of Records in London.

Kiara Kaur’s speech was called ‘Small Changes, Big Difference’ at the World Expo 2022 in Dubai and this young girl spoke about women empowerment. Speaking to NDTV, she said that it was an exciting experience for her to have spoken for an audience at such a large event. She also shared that she prepared her speech with the help of her grandmother Commander Dr Rita Bhatra who has been a part of the Border Security Force for 40 years.

She was asked what her speech shed light on and she promptly replied by saying that true women empowerment means equal rights and opportunities in ‘education, rights, health, decision making, and wages’. It is really astounding how a young mind like hers understands this very concept and even grown-up men cannot! *facepalm*

Little Kiara has not so little ambitions it seems. When she was asked what her dream was, she replied by saying that she wants to become the president so that she can help the poor. Wow, when I was her age, I could barely say a poem in front of others when my parents asked me to, let alone a whole speech. We are so proud of her and hope all her dreams come true!
