Who Is Dr. Ruja Ignatova, The ‘CryptoQueen’ Currently On Top Of The FBI’s Most-Wanted List?
Dr Ruja Ignatova, is a popular name amongst those who are interested in cryptocurrencies and anything related to finance. The self-styled and self-named ‘Cryptoqueen’ has earned a reputation and a lot of money from the knowledge she has gained from investing in crypto markets. Her name has been associated with a lot of investments in the market. Alas, as she made it to the top of the ladder and made her wealth in this new financial avenue, she is reportedly no saint and has resorted to activities that are landing her in serious trouble. Her legacy won’t be being known for her investments in cryptocurrency or her work as an author. Instead, Ruja is known as the person who founded the famous Ponzi scheme called ‘OneCoin’.

So Who Is Ruja Ignatova, the Cryptoqueen?
Ruja Ignatova has been accused of scamming people of more than $4 Bn through her company. Ruja founded One Coin back in 2014 and since then many have said that she has systematically used the funds that came in for her benefit and has exploited the victims of the crime. Born in Bulgaria, the 42-year-old is now along with being heavily wanted in the United States of America.
Ruja Ignatova has now ended up on the FBI’s ‘10 Most Wanted Fugitives list, being the 11th woman to land up on this infamous list in its 72 years of existence. As per reports, the FBI has promised a reward of $100,000 for those who provide credible evidence against Dr Ruja Ignatova that could ensure her arrest. The phones have reportedly started ringing but there have been no credible leads yet.
2017 was the initial year complaints broke out against her but matters became serious as the number of these complaints kept increasing and she has been on the run ever since. Ruja Ignatova has been absconding from the authorities and her whereabouts have been unknown since 2017, she has constantly been on the run and her location keeps changing (obviously, given the ka-ching in her pocket).
