Pregnant Woman From UP Accuses Live-In Boyfriend Of Rape And Abuse
Let’s talk about the fact that a man taking advantage of a woman on the pretext of marriage is also a form of abuse. This happens very often because the men usually believe they will get away with just about anything. And most of the time, they do. Our gender-biased society just doesn’t take crimes against women seriously. Especially not ones like these. But you can’t deny that it is mental and sexual abuse. After writing numerous stories about sexual assault, I safely say that in states like UP, the condition of women is truly frightening. We say this after a pregnant woman accused her live-in boyfriend of rape. It’s terrifying.
A 23-year-old pregnant woman levelled allegations of rape and sexual assault on her boyfriend, Amit Maurya. The couple met back in 2019 and were living together in Ballia, UP. The woman claimed that Amit refused to marry her when she got pregnant. In her complaint, she also said that he initiated a sexual relationship with her on the pretext of marriage and then went back on his word. His brutal crimes don’t end here. According to reports, Amit also posted a questionable and private picture of this woman on social media. To do this, he made a fake profile using a girl’s name. This is just disgusting.

An FIR has been lodged under Sections 376 (rape) and 506 (threat to kill) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology (IT) Act. However, Amit is on the run and the police are making efforts to track him down.
Hopefully, this man is found, arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. For how long are we going to let men treat us like playthings? It’s time to put our foot down and stand for all the women who are being abused.
