Pakistani Female Food Delivery Partner Aims To Open Her Own Fashion Brand After Studies. More Power To Her!
Having ordered from food delivery apps and restaurants so many times, I have noticed that all delivery partners are male. While I have heard stories on social media that people have been assigned female delivery partners, I never have been so to date. On a side note, I once sat in an auto-rickshaw driven by a female driver, and it definitely felt different. It feels gratifying to see a woman doing jobs that are male-dominated. Coming back to the whole female delivery partner thing, a woman on LinkedIn has shared an appreciation post for a KFC delivery partner who is a woman and also shared what else she does to make a living!
Taking to the job-hunting platform, a woman named Fizza Ijaz, shared a photo of Meerab, who was delivering her food from KFC. In her post, she wrote that when she received a call from Meerab who informed her on a phone call that she was going to be delivering her food that day, Fizza got super excited! She also wrote that she and her friends stood outside the gave to receive Meerab and they also spoke to her for 10 minutes.
During their chat, they asked Meerab what her passion was and what did she want to pursue in life ahead. To this, Meerab responded by saying that she is from Youhanabad in Lahore and is a fashion-designing student. She works with KFC as a night food delivery rider and intends to keep doing this job for three more years until she receives a graduation degree, after which she wants to open her own fashion brand.
Fizza also mentioned in her post that Meerab’s education expenses are being taken care of by an organisation but she needs financial aid with her assignments and mother’s medical expenses.
