NT Rama Rao’s Daughter Kantamaneni Uma Maheswari Reportedly Dies By Suicide
The former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister NT Rama Rao’s fourth daughter Kantamaneni Uma Maheswari has passed away. She breathed her last on August 1, 2022. She was suffering from health issues as well but several media reports have stated that she died by suicide. She was 57 years old.
As per reports, she took her last breath in her Hyderabad home in Jubilee Hills. She was reportedly found hanging by a ceiling fan in her house. There was no suicide note found in her house. Another report said that injury marks were found around Uma’s neck.
The police have registered a case of suspicious death and an investigation has been launched into the same. Kantamaneni Uma Maheswari’s body has been sent to the government hospital for post-mortem.
NT Rama Rao has 12 children and Uma Maheswari was the youngest of them all. The police have also said that Chandrababu Naidu and his family are currently at Uma Maheswari’s home.

It was Uma Maheshwari’s daughter Dikshitha who filed the complaint with the police. She confirmed that her mother died by suicide due to impending health issues. Reportedly, there were four people inside the house when the incident took place. When Uma did not open her room’s door even during lunch, Dikshitha tried to open the door of the room but it was locked from the inside. Uma Maheshwari is only survived by her daughter.
