“My Daughter Delivered Herself”, Says A Woman Who Delivered Her Baby In Her Sleep!
Thanks to the crazy amount of movies, TV shows and random videos I watch all day long (of course only after I am done with my work..) I know a little more than enough about pregnancy and birthing, as shown on TV. Thanks to binge sessions of TV shows like F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Baby Daddy, The Mindy Project and many more, I figured that I had seen everything. Except, I was wrong. Because what I hadn’t seen was a woman delivering a baby while she was asleep!
A story that has left us all confused, a woman named Amy Dunbar won the contest for the most unbelievable birthing story ever, when she shared on the internet how she delivered her daughter while she was asleep during her labor.
In a video on TikTok, the new mom shared that after 12 long and strenuous hours in labor wherein she had continuously been pushing, she was finally given an epidural so that she could a little bit of relief and sleep from the pain.
However, while she was being checked upon by a nurse after passing out, the nurse noticed Amy having a major contraction. Amy said, “Not even a minute after that, the nurse was waking me up saying she’d lost the baby’s heartbeat on the monitor, but she said ‘Don’t worry, flip over and I’ll find it, baby just probably moved’.”

She continued to tell, “Doing what I was told, I moved the blanket and was turning over and I was like ‘There’s something going on’.” She said, “My baby was in the bed. She had delivered herself while I was asleep. That big contraction the nurse saw was her being born,” and honestly, we are still getting a grasp of it!
Amy shared, “So I pulled back the blanket and she was laying in a ball on the bed and it just kind of blew up from there. My dad stepped out into the hall and yelled ‘We need help!'” Amy recalled, “”And all of a sudden so many doctors and nurses just flooded the room and she wasn’t crying, so of course I’m freaking out.”
And even though Amy admitted to be scared in the moment for her daughter, everything did turn out to be absolutely okay. Still not sure herself over how her daughter simply delivered herself, she is just happy that her daughter is healthy and kicking.
Leaving us and several other netizens shocked, a user commented, “Already a strong independent woman lol,” while another one wrote, “Baby’s like I’ll do it myself.”
