Minor Held For Killing Her Rapist In Rajasthan’s Alwar, Says Could Not Bear The Torture Anymore
Many rape stories make headlines. They are distressing and just make you question, why do women have to suffer so much? Especially when we hear news where the victims are minor, I mean how can men stoop so low? In this case, a 13-year-old was forced to take a drastic step in order to save herself from the constant sexual assaults by a 45-year-old man. The incident has taken place in Rajasthan’s Alwar district.
According to the police, the minor killed a 45-year man who had been sexually assaulting her for months and had even been blackmailing her. The police further informed that the girl has been sent to juvenile detention for the murder. Not just this, the police further shed light on the case and revealed that the deceased also forced the girl into a physical relationship with three other men from his village. The police further stated that the girl who is a Class 10 student, strangled the man on May 17 while he was under the influence of alcohol, and also added that his body was discovered the next morning, as per news sources.
The SHO of the Kotkasim police station (Bhiwadi) revealed that it was a blind case, and there was no clue as to who could have murdered the man. He also said that a torn piece of cloth found at the crime scene lead the police to the girl. The interrogation revealed that the piece of cloth was used to strangle the man. The girl revealed that she could no longer bear the torture done to her by the deceased and therefore decided to kill him. The four have been charged with gang rape under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, according to the SHO. The other accused in the case are yet to be caught.

The step taken by the minor is debatable, however, the trauma that she was going through is unimaginable to anyone. We can act as judges and be quick enough to choose sides as to what was an ideal step, but let’s leave it to our justice system and hope that they come up with the right decision by taking into consideration every aspect of the case.
