In the history of the contest, Melisa Raouf is the first participant who decided to participate in Miss England without wearing any makeup. The 20-year-old girl, who is studying politics in London has made history by reaching the finals of the beauty contest as the first makeup-free contestant. Raouf mentioned that she decided to compete barefaced in the beauty contest in order to promote inner beauty and in a bid to challenge the beauty ideals that are perpetuated by media and social media.
