The rape crime reported in Gurugram, will shake your faith in humanity and shed light on what kind of mindset young boys are raised in. These stories make you wonder how girls and women are supposed to trust anyone around them. We were always taught not to speak to strangers, but what about the men we trust, such as friends and family? What happens when well-known people become the perpetrators in a rape case? Three of the perpetrators in the gang rape of a 14-year-old girl in Gurugram were her own friends. And the details will shock you to the core.
The crime was reported to the police by the victim’s mother after she found her daughter in a deplorable condition just in front of the house. Our society has established several ways of life for girls, but what about boys? When will we realise that young boys need to be taught many things as well? One is to recognise and know that women are not objects or the weaker gender. I believe the perpetrators in the Gurugram rape case are minors as well, what kind of an environment are they being raised in. It irritates me to think that those boys did not even fear the law in the country before committing such a heinous crime.
