Gita Gopinath Makes History By Becoming First Woman And Second Indian To Feature On IMF’s ‘Wall Of Former Chief Economists’

We are so proud of her!

When I hear stories about women achieving great things in their careers, it makes me inspires me to work hard and put my best foot forward. These women make me realise that no goal is too high that it can’t be achieved. Well, speaking of inspiring women, economist Gita Gopinath created history by becoming the first woman and second Indian to feature on IMF’s ‘Wall Of Former Chief Economists’. This is such a huge achievement, to be honest!

Recently, the Indian-born economist Gita Gopinath once again made our country proud after she became the first woman and second Indian to feature on the ‘Wall Of Former Economists’ of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). FYI, the first Indian to achieve this honour was Raghuram Rajan, he was the Chief Economist and Director Of Research of IMF till 2006. On Thursday, she shared a picture of herself posing in front of the wall of former economists and wrote, “Breaking the trend (emojis)…I joined the wall of former Chief Economists of the IMF.”
