Recently, the Indian-born economist Gita Gopinath once again made our country proud after she became the first woman and second Indian to feature on the ‘Wall Of Former Economists’ of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). FYI, the first Indian to achieve this honour was Raghuram Rajan, he was the Chief Economist and Director Of Research of IMF till 2006. On Thursday, she shared a picture of herself posing in front of the wall of former economists and wrote, “Breaking the trend (emojis)…I joined the wall of former Chief Economists of the IMF.”
