Tamannaah Bhatia, Sachin Tendulkar And Others Extend Their Wishes To The 15th President Droupadi Murmu
On July 21st, Thursday, India witnessed a historic moment for the second time when Droupadi Murmu won the 15th presidential election. Droupadi Murmu, who was the NDA candidate won the elections against the opposition’s Yashwant Sinha. Madam President garnered 64 percent of the valid votes. The moment is also historic for India because Droupadi Murmu is the first tribal and the second woman to hold the position of President of India. And the announcement of her win has flooded Twitter with congratulatory messages for Droupadi Murmu and the country is celebrating the moment. Celebrities like Tamannaah Bhatia, and Urmila Matondkar among others expressed their happiness over the news.
The polling of the Presidential elections took place on July 18, and the counting was held on July 21st. Droupadi Murmu is all set to take her Presidential oath on July 25, as the tenure of Ram Nath Kovid ends on July 24th. President Murmu’s hometown Rairangpur was overjoyed when she was selected as the Presidential candidate and now that she secured the position, the people of her hometown are celebrating it with utmost happiness. Even many famous personalities have taken to their Twitter handles to extend their wishes and congratulate the overwhelming win of Droupadi Murmu.
