5 Delicious And Super Easy Maggi Recipes To Try This Weekend

Ask any college girl living in a hostel away from home, and she’ll tell you what a life saviour Maggi is. The instant noodles can fill your stomach in the morning, and serve as dinner too when you’re too lazy to cook. It’s literally the go-to meal for every lazy/ busy girl everywhere! But I don’t blame you if you’re a little tired of the plain ol’ Maggi. Variety is the spice of life, so we put together a bunch of yummilicious Maggi recipes to help you make your favourite instant meal even more tasty.

From Maggi with Egg and Cheese, to Sausage Maggi, here are five Maggi recipes to try when you need to mix things up.

1. Masala Maggi

Give your basic Maggi an Indian touch with a whole lot of nutritious veggies, and a dash of spices.


2 packets Maggi noodles, broken into pieces
2 masala maggi sachet
1 1/2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp finely chopped ginger
2 slit green chillies
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped capsicum
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
salt to taste


Heat the oil. Now add the ginger and green chillies, and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.
Next add onions, and sauté for 1-2 minutes before adding the tomatoes and capsicum and sautéeing for another minute on medium flame.
Add garam masala, turmeric powder and maggi masala. Mix well.
Add 2 cups of water and salt. Mix well and allow to cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
For the final step, add the Maggi noodles, mix well, and cook on a medium flame till the water has been absorbed completely. Stir occasionally.
Discard the green chillies and serve immediately.

2. Open Maggi Sandwich

Bored of having Maggi in a bowl? How about a sandwich instead?


1 packet Maggi noodles
1 packet Maggi masala
1 cheese slice, cut into small pieces
1/2 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
1/2 tsp dried oregano
4 toasted bread slices


Heat 1 cup of water in a pan. Add the Maggi noodles and masala, mix well, and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add cheese, chilli flakes and oregano. Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute. Do not forget to stir occasionally.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Place the toasted bread slices on a clean, dry surface and spread a portion of the mixture on each toasted bread slice. Serve immediately with tomato ketchup, and enjoy the Maggi-sandwich combination.

3. Egg and Cheese Maggi

Make Maggi even more mouth-watering by adding two simple things, egg and cheese.


1 packet Maggi noodles
1 egg
1/2 cup grated cheese
Salt and pepper to taste


Boil 1 1/2 cups water in a pan, and add Maggi noodles with Maggi masala. Simmer for 2 minutes till the Maggi is fully cooked.
Meanwhile, beat an egg till frothy, and add the egg to the cooked Maggi.
Put some salt and pepper, and stir occasionally. Wait till the egg cooks through, and is scrambled.
Top with cheese and it’s ready to be served.

4. Cheese and Corn Maggi

Want to make your Maggi noodles a lot more flavourful? Here’s the perfect recipe for you.


1 packet Maggi noodles
1 cup grated cheese
A small handful of corn
1 tsp salt
1 tsp butter


Add water in a vessel and bring it to boil.
Now add Maggi noodles and the masala into the water, and stir it for 2 minutes. Simultaneously boil the corn.
Once it’s boiled, add it to the Maggi with a bit of salt.
When it’s almost ready, add butter, and mix it well.
Once it’s fully cooked, top it with shredded cheese and serve.

5. Sausage Maggi


1 packet Maggi noodles
2 to 3 chicken sausages
1 tsp oil


Boil water in a thick bottomed vessel, and add the Maggi noodles with the masala. Cook until it is done.
Heat oil in a pan, and add the chicken sausages. Stir fry until done.
Cut the sausages into small round-shaped pieces, and add to the Maggi noodles.
Once you mix it well, you’re set to serve!
