CEO Hired A Woman From Craigslist To Slap Him Every Time He Opens Facebook. How Do We Apply For This Job?

Yep, I know how bizarre the title of this story sounds. I also know that it is not just your curiosity but your need to know what’s the catch that has got you opening the story and reading it through. Well, let me tell you that the title is the whole story. How? Well, because it is the CEO of Pavlok Maneesh Seethi that hired a woman named Kara and paid her to slap him every time he opens his Facebook. I know, it is still very bizarre!

Indian-American founder and CEO of Pavlok, Maneesh Sethi hired a woman named Kara from Craigslist to slap him every time he was deterred from his tasks and opened Facebook. This move from him even has Elon Musk impressed.

As per reports, back in 2012 Maneesh Sethi the CEO of a wearable device company wanted to increase his productivity and so he went on Craigslist looking for a person who was willing to slap him every time he opened Facebook instead of working. In his blog, Sethi explained, “I hired a girl on Craigslist to slap me in the face everytime I used Facebook.”

In fact, the Pavlok CEO also added that the results from his experiment were something he did not expect. Maneesh said that he paid Kara $8 per hour to slap him and since then his productivity increased to 98%.

What is more bizarre about this is that a photo of Kara slapping the CEO Maneesh Sethi resurfaced on Twitter and caught the attention of the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk. And it seems as though he was impressed with the tweet since he commented on it with two fire emojis.

I said it in the beginning and I’ll say it again in the end, this story from start to finish is as bizarre as it gets. And quite honestly, I find it oddly amusing. Having said that, if someone like the CEO paid me to slap them and if this was an actual profession, I would happily change my career.
