Bride And Groom Fall From Rising Platform During Pre-Wedding Function In Chhattisgarh’s Raipur. Ouch!

In India, the wedding season is in full swing and we are glad for it. These days, the bride and groom just don’t want a simple wedding ceremony; instead, they want some fun elements which will make their wedding a memorable one. But sometimes, the fun elements can give you a reason to cry. One such video went viral on the internet in which the bride and groom had an adventurous wedding when the platform collapsed amid the pre-wedding function. The incident took place in the capital of Chhattisgarh, Raipur.

According to the reports, the bride and groom were standing on an elevated platform during their sangeet ceremony, when suddenly the platform collapsed. From the video that went viral on social media, we can see the bride and the groom standing on the platform that was elevated from the stage. There was also fireworks display and background dancers were performing on the stage. Minutes later the couple got the shock of their life, when in the middle of the whole performance the harness of the platform snapped and tossed the two on the stage. The swing was nearly 12-15 feet above the stage, which could have been dangerous.

Fortunately, the couple is fine and suffered only minor injuries. The pre-wedding functions continued after 30 minutes. According to the reports, no complaint was filed over the incident, and the event management company that planned the event apologised for the incident.

An employee of the event management company informed that the accident occurred during the sangeet ceremony due to some “technical issues”. The employee further added that no one suffered injuries in the incident. The bride and the groom are safe. After the incident, the company will make sure that such incidents don’t occur again in the future.

Although, its okay to have some unusual and interesting element at the wedding but it should be used with proper safety precautions or it can cause some serious damage. Remember, there is a warning when they say “Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan!”
