You know, I have watched Bollywood films that show love has the power to conquer all but I thought that it can only happen in movies but I was wrong, I guess. Well, speaking of love, a couple is making the headlines for all the right reasons. In Himachal Pradesh, a Ukrainian woman tied the knot with her Russian boyfriend in a traditional Hindu wedding amid the ongoing conflicts between the two countries. Well, jab miya biwi raazi toh kya hi karega kaazi, right?
As we all know, a few months ago Russia declared a war on its neighbouring country Ukraine and no one knows when it will end. However, a Ukrainian-Russian couple proved that love conquers all and it is the most heartwarming thing on the internet. A Ukrainian woman named Elona Bramoka decided to tie the knot with her longtime Russian boyfriend, Sergei Novikov. They both got married in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala as per Hindu rituals and it was definitely one of a kind wedding.

For their special day, the bride opted for a traditional red lehenga and the groom wore a matching kurta-pyjama.
The locals attended their wedding and performed all the rituals. They also danced to traditional Himachali folk music to make the couple feel ‘at home’. The bride and groom – Bramoka and Novikov were in a relationship for the past two years and decided to get married this year, despite the war between their countries.
