Internet’s Fashionable Furry Friend Tika The Iggy Had A Better Diwali Look Than Most Celebrities
I am sure most of you must’ve seen the sartorial experiments of Tika the Iggy. The Montréal-based dog became an internet sensation by sporting custom-made, couture garments for pets. The fashionable furry friend soon found a spot in almost every Instagram feed, keeping her followers hooked with her content. From dazzling gowns and feather-laden collars to rainbow jumpers, there is nothing that Tika has not pulled off and cannot.

And keeping her fashionable feed, bright and colourful, Tika rounded up an interesting look on the occasion of Diwali. Designed by costume designer–Akshay Tyagi, Tika’s mirror-laden anarkali served looks and how. In one of the videos, Tika is seen dressed up in a pink anarkali, and softly turning her head to pose for the camera. Priyanka Chopra’s famous “Desi Girl” song serves as the background music. Tika’s net-bordered anarkali is the perfect pick to give a festive upgrade to her chic wardrobe.

Further explaining the design, Akshay Tyagi mentioned in the caption that he chose red and gold as they are auspicious colours. The caption also spilt a fun fact about the story behind Tika’s name, which actually comes from “Theek Hai,” a common phrase that Tika’s parents’ Indian friend would use after every conversation. I mean, could Tika be any more desi?

Reacting to her Diwali look, the internet pariwaar ran flooded the post with sweet comments. Some wrote, “This is how to make a Royal Pose! You are amazing Miss Tikka. Tres Chic,” “Oh my gosh happy Diwali baby girl. You look soooo pretty in red,” and others seemed amused about the name story, and mentioned, “And this whole time I thought it was after Chicken Tikka Masala!”
