Katrina Kaif Or Alia Bhatt? Guess Who Made It To Our Best Dressed List Of 2021

Bollywood’s leading ladies have been an influential source of fashion for many years. From cooking up some experimental looks to dishing out some major statement silhouettes, 2021 too was a witness to some amazing fashion transitions. And since we’re talking about all things good, as we wrap up this much-adventurous year, here is a list of my favourite celebrities including Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone who churned out some good looks, good looks and good looks this year.

DEEPIKA PADUKONE

The queen as you may say, Deepika Padukone’s choice of colour palette that is always on the lookout for some quirky silhouettes, tops my list. From sea blue, garden green to spicy red, the actress this year served us with her exquisite fashion taste, ofc largely credited to her stylist Shaleena Nathani. From donning the Dodo Bar Or green leather pants, kohl eyes, Payal Khandwala pastel paradise drape to my current favourite Valentino red overalls, the actress has made sure to present an array of colours and styles with some major nostalgic elements like headscarves, and winter favourite leather pants visiting her closet.

KATRINA KAIF

A quick transition from tie-dyes to tulle lehengas, Katrina Kaif’s 2021 closet was intensively ranged, courtesy of her royal wedding ( which btw still is sticking to headlines). From crushing way too hard on the trending tie-dye, experimenting with athleisure and slaying her wedding wardrobe, what constantly shined throughout, was her love for florals. And I feel somehow from January till December, the Sooryavanshi actress’ closet witnessed a swift shift from casuals, semi-ethnic to an entire ethnic stack. Apart from wearing some statement embroidered sarees and printed lehengas, her wedding wear curated by ace designer Sabyasachi made it to my list of favourites.

Alia Bhatt

A blend of both Gen-Z and millennial fashion styles, Alia Bhatt’s wardrobe speaks a lot about her personal style aswell. Easy and relatable, her outfits are what I too can imagine myself wearing (what say?). From giving us some major date night inspirations, experimenting with sequins to working it up in denim, the Raazi actress’ closet this year was a mixed bag ranging from casuals to Kanjivaram. A bridesmaid around the year, Alia Bhatt’s lehenga choices like the Sabyasachi blue bandhani and the lemon infinity blouse by Manish Malhotra were some amongst the many outfits that made it to the trending tab and my wish list too.

Janhvi Kapoor

Stitching oomph to each of her ensembles, Janhvi Kapoor’s sense of style makes way for some timeless pieces revisiting in a Gen-Z avatar. Be it her love for beautiful sarees, statement earrings or sequins, she teaches the many ways to upgrade the classics. A trendsetter for bodycon dresses in the shades beige and candy pink, the actress’ Roohi promotion wardrobe was quite impressive. Take cues from the Gen-Z star to slay the skirts and sarees alike.

Tara Sutaria

Working well with every fashion trend, Tara Sutaria sprinkles her love for vintage in her beloved closet. From styling trench coats, corsets, statement boots to animal prints, there is not a single trend our Tadap star has not tried on. Offering a blend of some undertone hues, amidst the craze of striking shades, Tara Sutaria sets her fashion dialogue away from the crowd-funded trends. A remarkable display of her personal style moulded artistically by stylist Meagan Concessio, what I loved about the actress’ 2021 wardrobe was the return of some must-mentions like oversized blazers, capes, and corset satin bodycon.

Nora Fatehi

Known for picking out some bold and statement silhouettes, Nora Fatehi’s style is always on point and fiery hot. Be it styling some romantic reds, or acing the co-ord sets (which she is best known for) the dancer-turned-actress plays around with varied fabrics. A sucker for sequins, and ethnic motifs, be it her silver embellished gown, Naeem Khan pantsuit or the gorgeous pink Akanksha Gajria signature drape, every piece screamed ‘Goddess’ through every hem, this year to me.
