This past weekend, Bollywood celebrities arrived for the 50th anniversary of the Stardust Awards. In attendance were stars, in their most daring looks. And yes, we’re here talking about the lovely ladies. From Sayani Gupta to Bhumi Pednekar, actresses sparkled in twinkling attires, risqué cuts and marvellous jewellery. And while we certainly were not a big fan of their outfits, we loved how they dared to experiment this time. Here’s a look at our favourites!
Bhumi Pednekar
Actress Bhumi Pednekar has been showcasing a new side to her evolving style on the internet. This time again, the actress won hearts in a green, mermaid-esqué ensemble by label–Gretel Z. Styled by Mohit Rai, the actress not only won two awards but impressed fans with her sartorial choice. Completing her outfit, which featured a midriff cut and cold shoulders, Bhumi decided to pull up her hair into a bun and curated a snatched look with defined eyes and minimal accessories.

Sayani Gupta
One of our favourite fashion girls from Bollywood walked the red carpet in a two-toned Rimzim Dadu dress. The actress picked the designer’s signature cord dress in electric blue and black, which featured strapless detailing with a wrapped blue accent, touching the floor. She further styled her short hair bob and said yes to a high-on shine makeup look. Moreover, her sapphire ear studs served as the perfect accessory, and close-toe heels in black simply finished off the look.

Vaani Kapoor
Vaani Kapoor seemed high on colours, as she chose to enjoy a vibrant colour play through her look. The actress picked a gold, sequin gown by label–Genny to walk the red carpet. The anti-fit silhouetted featured a plunging neckline, and a tiny cut-out detailing under the bust. Styled by Sheefa J Gilani, Kapoor completed the look with a statement, emerald-encrusted neckpiece and dressed her hair into a low, messy bun.

Legendary actress Rekha too made a spectacular appearance on the red carpet in her signature style. Picking a dark-hued Kanjeevaram silk saree, Rekha ji used the platform to express her love for the classic saree. The midnight blue base, featured an overlay of golden paisley motifs, teamed with a shimmering gold border and a pallu that ended on sindoori red. She further accessorised the look with her iconic gajra-bun, golden jewellery and a tapestry bag. Such a diva!

Sanya Malhotra
Unlike her fellow attendees at the awards show, Sanya Malhotra took the classic route in a gorgeous saree. The pearl-coloured drape by designer house–Falguni Shane Peacock, featured mukaish overlay, teamed with the signature Falguni Shane Peacock opulent blouse in ivory, gold and white. The actress interestingly draped her loosely pinned pallu and went easy with her accessories. She further sealed her hair into a neat bun and chose to go subtle on her face.
