Natasha Poonawalla Gives Us A Peek Into The Behind-The-Scene Magic Of Her Winning Met Gala Look
The last few days have been dedicated to all the buzz around Met Gala. Hona bhi chahiya, the event indeed delivered some high-on spark designs, celebrity confessions, and controversial statements. But one thing that was special for India and also a first in the history of Met Gala, was multi-hyphenate Natasha Poonawalla’s choice of outfit. Dripping gold, Natasha turned heads as she flaunted her Gilded Glamour uniform at the prestigious gala.
Wearing a custom-made saree and bustier by designer labels–Sabyasachi and Schiaparelli, Natasha did not just made the much-awaited saree debut on the Met Gala red carpet, but also brought together the design aesthetics of two celebrated designer houses. She managed to marinate, Italian fashion designer–Elsa Schiaparelli’s celebrated surrealism, and Sabyasachi’s prowess in heirloom worthy designs, celebrating the spirit of India. Styled by celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania, with special drapes curated by popular Indian saree draper–Dolly Jain, Natasha was a vision in gold.

While the end result looks nothing short of success, everyone sure is fascinated and intrigued about the behind-the-scene drill. And finally opening the door to her dressing room, Natasha has posted a fun video, featuring her team and all that goes in making an iconic look. The video features Natasha’s army of designers, stylists and makeup artists, whom she thanks in a caption that reads as, “More talent packed in a room than it can contain…Big thank you all the geniuses, dreamers, weavers and artisans who made this possible!”
