Met Gala 2022: Natasha Poonawalla’s Idea Of ‘Gilded Glamour’ Is A Winner And We Won’t Hear Otherwise
Met Gala 2022 came and well let’s just say served. Why? Because my expectation from this year’s biggest dress up event was sky high. I mean with ‘Gilded Glamour’ as the dress code, you sure could experiment and how. And talking about experiments, one woman who attempted it and even slayed was Natasha Poonawalla. The multi-hyphenate walked down the red carpet, like a queen and probably churned out one of the special evening’s best looks.

Bringing together the collaboration of the year, Natasha arrived wearing a custom-made saree and bustier by designer labels–Sabyasachi and Schiaparelli. The woman just took a dip in gold and showed how ‘Gilded Glamour’ is actually done. Wearing a custom-made saree by Sabyasachi, Natasha showcased a slice of India through neatly curated pleats by famous saree draper Dolly Jain. Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania (this feels like a dream team), Natasha’s hand-forged metal corset was nothing short of a piece of art and we loved it. Doing it the Sabya way, Natasha’s beautiful trail witnessed silk floss thread, with a spectacular trail featuring bevel beads, semi-precious stones, appliquéd printed velvet, crystals, and sequins. Ma’am Poonawalla further matched the gold on her stack of jewellery from mani-rings, beaded hair band, bangles, earrings and more from Sabyasachi with her golden hair streaks.
