Every year (except for the last two years), on the first Monday of May, all the famous and rich celebrities come together in New York City wearing some of the most outlandish clothes ever for the biggest fundraising ball – the Met Gala. While some of these outfits adhere and do justice to the theme, the others just fall completely flat. And that’s when the people of the internet spin the wheel and create some magic – oops, I mean, create some gold memes. And this year is no different – especially when most of the netizens were disappointed over 3 main things – most men at the Met Gala 2022 were wearing tuxes, outfits really were far off from the theme – The Gilded Age, and no Zendaya on the red carpet.
However, it is exactly this disappointment in the Met Gala 2022 that has quite literally led to a meme fest on the internet and I have to say, I’m enjoying the memes more than the red carpet looks of most of the celebs.
