We Don’t Know How To Feel About Manushi Chhillar’s Suitcase Full Of Gowns For Cannes

A little experiment will harm no one!
We Don’t Know How To Feel About Manushi Chhillar’s Suitcase Full Of Gowns For Cannes

Manushi Chhillar is a serial chiller in these stylish ballroom gowns at the Cannes Film Festival. Marking her debut this year, Chhillar’s sartorial choices so far have been keeping a safe distance from weird experiments but her love for ballroom gowns makes her look like a princess. For the three consecutive appearances on the red carpet and the inaugural morning at the Indian pavilion, Chhillar’s style approach stayed true to minimal glam, which indeed is boring but we’re hoping to watch more. Let’s revisit her three looks so far.

A Moment In White

Not our most favourite out of the three, but Manushi’s debut look at the Cannes Film Festival was saved by her lovely smile. For the moment, the actress picked a white, corseted gown by Fovari, and played around colours emerald and pink. The bridal couture was flavoured with tons of textured patterns around the bodice, followed by the classic format of ruffled tulle and a scoop neckline. While the colour and silhouette failed to win our hearts, Manushi managed to walk her way into our hearts with her elegance.

Rose Dreams

Playing with the colours of summer, Chhillar joined her fellow Indian attendees at the film festival for the inauguration ceremony at the Indian pavilion. Like most stars, Chhillar remained simple and classic in a dreamy design by Gauri And Nainika. The signature rose print design on her ballroom gown, featured a strapless bodice, a fitted corset, and a long train. She further completed the look with gold wrist accessories, ear studs and stylish Prada sunglasses.

Party In Black

The perfect fit for an evening look was curated by Chhillar using the colour black. The strapless, tulle gown by designer Saiid Kobeisy featured a massive overlay of gold and silver embroidery. Styling the silhouette with the classic gold, Chhillar picked a stack of gold jewellery and metallic silver heels. Understated but still a full power glam.

And while we loved watching Manushi slay in these looks, a little style experiment on her end would be even more interesting to watch.
