Katrina Kaif, Radhika Madan And Radhika Apte Sent The Mercury Soaring At The IIFA Rocks Red Carpet
A few of Bollywood’s finest got together to pre-game at IIFA Rocks before the main event! The evening saw some big names in attendance, walking the green carpet, upbeat performances, and a fashion presentation. While the event managed to be its usual genre-bending self, the stars in attendance turned in some solid looks. A precursor to the IIFA 2019 main event, the looks we saw last night, if they’re anything to go by, will lead to a very sexy green carpet on Wednesday. We also spotted some very promising trends that might be a big hit with the stylish celebrities who are slated to attend Bollywood’s biggest night.
Here are 5 looks you can expect to see at IIFA 2019!
The Deep Plunge
A red carpet fave, Julien Macdonald’s deep plunges are unique for their fitted silhouette, while looking no less glamorous than a big elaborate gown. Katrina Kaif picked out a shiny little number for herself from the label, skipped the accessories and let the ‘body-ody-ody’ do all the talking. Plunging necklines are a classic awards night look and we can thank Kat for kicking off this year’s chic streak!
The “Wet” Hair
This hair trend has been doing the rounds a lot this year. From Kim K’s wet hair moment at the MET gala to Miley Cyrus sporting one at the VMAs, this look is sultry and we are so here for it. Radhika Madan styled her tresses in the style, only to make her Mint Blush ensemble a lot sexier than we could handle. How dare you look so good, Radhika!
High fashion jumpsuits are an odd choice for a glitzy night where you’re going to be rubbing shoulders with the best in the industry. But Radhika Apte’s gunmetal jumpsuit can make the cut (-out) ( pardon the pun!) This gradient number form Nikhil Thampi is exactly what the ‘lazy girls’ of fashion need to slay on the red carpet.
Loose Blazer Suits
Pantsuits are an evergreen trend for award shows, for MEN! But this power-dressing staple has been accepted with open arms by the ladies and we love it. For IIFA 2019 though, we anticipate a lot of casual blazer suits, to keep things on the fun side, like Rakul Preet Singh in her custom golden Nauman Piyarji outfit.
Thigh High Slits
This one’s a no-brainer! Thigh-high slit gowns rule red carpets all year round and Richa Chadha gave us an early taste of how fabulous they are. The Rudraksh Dwivedi number is red carpet couture at it’s finest. We are loving the sleek extensions as well, the length suits her well!
