From Sundowner Dresses To Bikini Designs, New Trends We Spotted At India Beach Fashion Week

The last week was a celebration of beachwear fashion at the India Beach Fashion Week. Presented on the runway were prints, plain whites and tones of tropical elements, soaking in the sunlight and enjoying the sea breeze. Through the latest designer lineup, the fashion week turned witness to summer’s new range of colours and cuts. Here’s our takeaway in terms of trends from the India Beach Fashion Week.

Fresh Prints

Tropical greens topped our list of favourites. A beachwear favourite, tropical, leafy designs are applied on a plain, white canvas. Most designers also experimented with a vast variety of abstract prints, including loud colours, dragon prints and more. Most also curated a bunch of floral prints and ombré hues.

Twinkling Beachwear

For a burst of bright colours, sequin strings, and a hint of dazzle, designers experimented with party-perfect beachwear designs that incorporated some unique silhouettes. Colours were at the forefront, with sequin embroidery and decorative embellishments bringing the essence of the party to the beach.

Beachwear For Men

Taking beachwear designs for men beyond the usual Bermuda shorts, designers excitedly paved the way for fresh hues and tropical prints for men. Many also green-lit button-down blazers, and shirts, combined with printed shirts. Accessory options for men were kept minimal with just a wristwatch and neck chains on display.

New Bikini Designs

Many designers set trends for bikini silhouettes, with the viral butterfly top as the inspiration. Besides scintillating colours and carefully placed glitter, floral fabric patches and layering set the tone for designer collections, bringing a new flavour to swimwear fashion.

Sundowner Uniform

For sundowners, beachwear parties designers brought their bags of slit dresses, embellished with frills and thin straps. Appropriate for the beachy weather, and hot temperature, these designs were curated keeping in mind the needs of customers to transition from AM to PM.
