Exclusive: Aditi Rao Hydari: “I’ll Wear Sabyasachi Or Something From My Mother’s Closet For My Wedding”

Actress Aditi Rao Hydari is known for her selection of film scripts and personal style. A keeper of royal ethnic style, sprinkled with intricacy, Rao Hydari’s both onscreen and off-screen presence is a delight to watch. In an exclusive interaction with me, Rao Hydari delves deeper into her fashion choices, wedding outfit plans and her latest collaboration with designer Varun Bahl, as his muse for Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion NXT Festival, which took place in Pune.

Q: Can you tell us more about your outfit and how excited you are about this collaboration

Aditi Rao Hydari: I am wearing Varun Bahl at Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion NXT Festival in Pune. His collection is super fun, it’s called ‘Wanderlust’. The name itself is something that I kind of responded to because it’s pretty much also the way I like to dress. It’s easy and luxurious at the same time. I am very excited about this collaboration because he is true to his collection, he’s also very chill about what we are doing, and I think it’s fun. It is also the first time that I am wearing ripped jeans on a ramp!

Q: Imagine your closet is a magical portal. If it could transport you to any fashion era, which one would you choose, and what iconic look would you rock?

Aditi Rao Hydari: Audrey Hepburn because I love the way she dresses and more than her fashion, the photographs of her in Dior reflect who she is, I just love that.
