FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week: Ananya Panday To Turn Showstopper For Falguni Shane Peacock At The Grand Finale
After nearly 2 years of Covid-19 pandemic induced lockdown, things are beginning to look up as things reopen across the country. And the one event that was halted amid the pandemic that we’ve all been waiting for is the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) X Lakmé Fashion Week organised by Lakmé & RISE Worldwide. The event has finally back in a physical form and the season-fluid edition of fashion week is being held at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi from March 23 to March 27. TBH, we’re already ready to see all the interesting designs, fabrics, silhouettes and stitches for this year. But we’ve got some good news for all the fashion fans, it looks like the Lakmé Brand Ambassador, Ananya Panday will not only turn showstopper for designer label Falguni Shane Peacock but she will also play muse for the designer for the end of the week of glam at the Lakmé Absolute Grand Finale.

Yepp, you read that right. Ananya Panday will be walking for Falguni Shane Peacock as the showstopper for Lakmé Absolute Grand Finale on day five of FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week. The internationally acclaimed Indian designer duo is not only returning to the physical runway this year, but they’re also closing for the FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week. Falguni Shane Peacock will be collaborating with the cosmetic brand Lakmé to present what is being called a futuristic and flamboyant collection called ‘Earthbound’. The collection will be showcased along with the soon-to-be-launched Lakmé Absolute Explore Eye Range. Apart from the Lakmé brand ambassador Ananya Panday being the showstopper, this collection will also witness celebrated makeup artist Daniel Bauer coming in to conceptualize the makeup looks for the show in sync with the vision of both Falguni Shane Peacock and Lakmé.

Speaking about walking the ramp for Lakmé and Falguni Shane Peacock at the Lakmé Absolute Grand Finale for the FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week, Ananya Panday shared that her association with the beauty brand will always remain special to her while adding that she had an ‘incredible experience’ last season when she made her debut at the Lakmé Absolute Grand Finale. Talking about the designer, the actress said that she’s looking forward to wearing a piece from the designer duo’s latest collection as well as showcasing the Lakmé Absolute Explore Eye collection at the FDCI X LFW. “I am also super excited to unveil my makeup look to everyone, especially the splash of colour, matte and metallic finish in unmissable shades,” said Ananya Panday.

Opening up about being back on the physical runway and presenting their collection at the FDCI X LFW, the designer duo, Falguni Shane Peacock shared that it’s a special experience for them as they’re excited about going back to the physical set-up this year. Talking about their collection, the duo said, ” Bringing our creative vision to life to present a futuristic collection, inspired by the Lakmé Absolute Explore Eye Collection, we hope to bring forth a showcase that had us once again experimenting beyond the traditional! We look forward to audiences witnessing our ‘Earthbound’ collection in its fullest and brightest form, as they #ExploreMore.” They further added that they could not have asked for a better showstopper than Ananya Panday as she personifies the ‘spirit of new age, cutting edge fashion’. The designer also expressed their excitement about unveiling Ananya’s look at the Lakmé Absolute Grand Finale of the FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week.
