Headed by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, the collection is all set to pay homage to her association with the Indian atelier house, the country’s rich culture in fashion and more. Last night, at the pre-showcase party, Maria was joined by some of the Indian fashion industry’s popular faces and Bollywood legends. In pictures from the gala, we spotted Maria, posing with the iconic, legendary Rekha ji, who exuded her signature charm for a photograph.

Dressed in a swan-like white Manish Malhotra saree, the actress wore her gold jewellery and a sparkling potli to complete the look. Next to her was Maria, who wore the India-born black kurta, with a half, embroidered jacket, palazzo pants and a dainty pendant. The picture shared by Dior hints at the iconic presentation at the Gateway Of India. Maria too took it to her Instagram handle to share the picture and penned down something so special about Rekha ji. Words, she mentioned–”I was so touched to meet the iconic Rekha gi last night for the first time. India’s most iconic woman and an incredible actress. I am so grateful you have joined us last night, it was a true honour.”
