Chrissy Teigen Turned Desi Girl At Priyanka Chopra’s Diwali Party In This Indian Designer’s Saree
According to me, there is nothing more beautiful than the melding of two cultures. An amalgamation of two ideologies coming together as one and celebrating each other’s differences is always so wholesome to watch in the middle of this ever-conflicting society. This can especially be witnessed amongst Indians living in the West as they tend to celebrate our cultural festivities with the multi-national crowd over there. I witnessed this on Instagram as Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend attended the Diwali party hosted by Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas along with celebrities like Lilly Singh and more.
Chrissy Teigen was seen wearing a gorgeous lavender ghaghra-choli with gold detailing by the Indian designerwear brand Papa Dont Preach by Shubhika to the party. She accessorised it with a heavy maangteeka and dangling earrings. Husband John Legend chose to wear a sophisticated solid-coloured black sherwani which was a contrast to but definitely complemented his wife’s dazzling ensemble!

Other big names at the party along with Chrissy Teigen were YouTuber and comedian Lilly Singh who looked like an absolute Bawse (see what I did there?) wearing a heavy red sherwani paired with these nude coloured pants and shiny heels; absolutely love the androgynous outfit!

YouTuber and actor Liza Koshy also sported an outfit by Papa Don’t Preach by Shubhika. She showed off a gorgeous and contemporary electric blue dhoti jumpsuit and looked absolutely stunning wearing it! She is seen posing here with actor Richa Moorjani, of Never Have I Ever fame, also in a saree by the same designer.

Desi girl Priyanka Chopra partied with Chrissy Teigen and understood the assignment as she went a traditional route and opted for a beige lehenga-choli by Arpita Mehta. The lehenga had a heavily designed blouse and a minimalistic but detailed full skirt to balance the outfit without losing out on the glamour!
